Description

A warm, lemony pink salt drink made with Himalayan pink salt, fresh lemon juice, and optional unflavored gelatin for a silky, gently filling finish.


Ingredients

For the warm drink
  • 1 cup warm water, about 100-110°F
  • 1/4 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, about 1/2 medium lemon
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey or stevia, optional
Optional for satiety
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder, optional
  • 2 tablespoons cold water, for blooming gelatin

Instructions

  1. Pour 2 tablespoons cold water into a small bowl
  2. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface and let it sit for 3-5 minutes, until thick and spongy
  3. Heat 1 cup of water to about 100-110°F
  4. Pour the warm water over the bloomed gelatin
  5. Stir for 30-60 seconds, until clear and smooth with no visible granules
  6. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and Himalayan pink salt
  7. Keep stirring until the salt fully dissolves
  8. Add honey or stevia if you want a softer flavor
  9. Serve warm 15-30 minutes before your first meal
  10. For chilled cubes, pour the mixture into a shallow dish or silicone mold and refrigerate for 2-3 hours, until set


Notes

Best enjoyed fresh when served warm. For chilled gelatin cubes, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Do not freeze. Use a small amount of pink salt, and check with a doctor first if you have high blood pressure, kidney disease, heart disease, liver disease, or sodium restrictions.
