- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter, diced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish
- Place chicken between plastic wrap and pound to ½–¾ inch thickness
- Rub chicken with olive oil
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
- Sprinkle seasoning evenly over chicken and gently rub it in
- Place chicken in the casserole dish and top each piece with diced butter
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C)
- Broil for 1–3 minutes until tops are lightly golden and caramelized
- Let rest briefly and serve warm
