Description

Maple roasted Brussels sprouts deliver the perfect mix of sweet caramelized edges and savory depth, roasted to crispy-tender perfection with a hint of heat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 lbs Brussels sprouts
  • 3 tbsp melted coconut oil or olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp chili flakes (crushed red pepper) or cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt or kosher salt
  • Additional salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 °F (≈ 218 °C)
  2. Line a half‑sheet pan with parchment paper or foil
  3. Wash, trim stems, and halve Brussels sprouts
  4. Pat dry thoroughly with paper towels
  5. Toss in a bowl with oil, chili flakes or pepper, maple syrup, and salt
  6. (Optional) Drizzle extra oil on tray if using foil
  7. Arrange flat side down on baking sheet
  8. Roast for 30 minutes, tossing halfway
  9. For extra caramelization, roast 5–10 more minutes
  10. Remove, season with more salt if needed, and serve hot

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days. Reheat in oven at 350 °F for 5–8 minutes or microwave for 30–60 seconds. Add oil or chili flakes before reheating to revive flavor.
