Description
These Harry Potter-inspired Pumpkin Pasties are warm, flaky hand pies filled with sweet pumpkin spice filling. Perfect for fall, Halloween, or any Potter-themed gathering, they’re quick, cozy, and utterly magical.

- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 4 TBS brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 refrigerated pie crusts (room temperature)
- 1 egg
- 1 TBS granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg.
- Roll out pie crusts and cut into circles using a 3–4 inch cutter or glass.
- Place circles on the baking sheet.
- Add 1 heaping TBS of filling to each circle.
- Fold over and seal edges with a fork.
- Cut a lightning bolt on top with a knife.
- Whisk the egg with 1 tsp water and brush each pasty.
- Sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake for 5–6 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use high-quality pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix).
- To make vegan, use plant-based crust and a maple glaze instead of egg wash.
- Can be frozen before baking.
