Description

Creamy Garlic Shrimp is the kind of dish that feels both indulgent and effortless. Plump shrimp in a garlicky cream sauce that’s elegant enough for date night but cozy enough for a rainy evening in.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 pounds jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails removed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded (or grated Parmesan)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes.
  2. Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  3. Season with salt and pepper. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in white wine and scrape up any bits from the pan. Let simmer for 1 minute.
  6. Stir in cream, Italian seasoning, and cheese. Simmer gently, stirring constantly, for 4–6 minutes until thickened.
  7. Return shrimp to skillet and toss gently to coat.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.


Notes

Use wild-caught shrimp for best flavor. Don’t overcook the shrimp, and always use freshly grated cheese for the smoothest sauce. Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
